35% Faster Incident Response with Unified Data Center Analytics

35% Faster Incident Response with Unified Data Center Analytics

Overview

As a leading data center developer and colocation provider grew from a few flagship sites to a multi-region portfolio, its visibility did not keep pace. Disconnected BMS and DCIM tools and spreadsheets left teams without a unified view of power, cooling and capacity across sites. Aziro was asked to build a unified analytics and monitoring platform that would bring data from every site into one real-time source of truth. Aziro designed and delivered the platform through a phased, low-disruption rollout, combining unified data ingestion on TimescaleDB, role-based dashboards and proactive alerting integrated with ServiceNow, Jira and Tableau. The result is real-time control across the portfolio, with 35% faster incident detection and response.

Where Portfolio Growth Outpaced Visibility

As the client grew from a few flagship sites to a multi-region portfolio, disconnected BMS, DCIM tools and spreadsheets left teams without a unified view.

No Portfolio-Wide Visibility Managers could not compare sites side by side or spot which facilities were trending toward capacity or thermal limits before they became a problem.

Delayed Incident Detection Without centralized alerting, issues were slow to detect and hard to trace across connected systems, increasing the risk of downtime.

Reactive Planning and Reporting Scattered data made capacity planning reactive. Leadership had to compile efficiency and SLA reports manually, taking time away from running the portfolio.

"By bringing power, cooling and capacity data from every site into one real-time source of truth, Aziro gave the client portfolio-wide control as it scaled."

How Aziro Built a Single Source of Truth

Aziro designed and delivered a unified data center analytics platform through a phased, low-disruption rollout, so operations continued without interruption as each site came online.

Unified Data Ingestion Custom Python and Golang connectors normalized data from varied vendor equipment into one standardized model on TimescaleDB, giving every site a common data foundation.

Role-Based Dashboards Tailored views for NOC teams, facility managers and executives give each role the information it needs, with drill-down from portfolio level to individual racks.

Proactive Alerting and Integrations Anomaly and threshold-based alerts catch issues early. Integrations with ServiceNow, Jira and Tableau automate incident creation and reporting.

Solution Architecture

Data from BMS, DCIM and varied vendor equipment across every site is collected by custom Python and Golang connectors and normalized into a standardized model on TimescaleDB. The platform powers role-based dashboards and anomaly and threshold-based alerting, which feed ServiceNow, Jira and Tableau for automated incidents and reporting.
